Reuben Derrick will be spending a week working at Pyramid Club, in collaboration with Te Whanganui-a-Tara based artists. The residency will culminate in this performance with performers to be confirmed during his time here.

Throughout the week leading up to this performance, Reuben will be creating on-location, studio, and field recordings. These recordings will be used to develop a new audio work which will be installed in a new multichannel sound exhibition space at Pyramid Club.

Reuben Derrick is a saxophonist, clarinettist and composer whose work encompasses a vast range of collaborative performance with dancers, sound sculptors, actors, and songwriters. He has performed and recorded with many of Aotearoa’s most exciting musicians during the past couple of decades in a multitude of settings including concerts, recordings, workshops and festivals.
