'Dimensions Of' a series of nine new works from A.Wright explores free associative mark making techniques that embrace the power of drawing to move beyond the familiar and nameable and into the ambiguous.

"I'm interested in creating works that encourage pareidolic sensibilities and daydreaming where both the author and audience are just as integral in the creation. The process of drawing is like transforming a surface or space into a window that looks into other worlds. A glass bottom boat on oceans of subconscious dreamscapes. " - A. Wright.

Originally from Christchurch Andrew is a musician, artist and designer now based in Wellington.

Graduating from Massey University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Design he has since been freelancing and developing his art practice.

Andrew is a percussionist and keyboardist with over 15 years playing experience both nationally and internationally. He is a regular performer of improvised music at Pyramid Club.

Exhibition on from Thursday 7 April until Thursday 28 April. Open Saturdays 12-4pm, at gigs and by appointment by emailing daniel@soundexplorers.co.nz
