Jazzfest! Step out of the bustle of Cuba and Courtenay Place and experience an intimate compositional duo at Pyramid Club. Supported by Newtown’s best and brightest, Dillon and Helena will explore beyond usual jazz standards as they present their collaborative works.

-

Dillon Butcher is a musician from Te Whanganui a Tara who specialises in various percussive rhythms played on the drum set. Her favourite drummers are Tony Williams and Zach Hill, and her favourite beverage is chocolate milk. Helena is a multi-instrumentalist with over a decade of performing in dark ambient, noise, and experimental spaces across New Zealand.

-

Frogmeat, also known as Frogmeet in collaboration, is a flexible noise project venturing explosive forecastings of yet-uncapturable crevice-presences. Convened by multimedia artist / musician Frankass Sophia Frudd and composer / violinist Mallory Elmo, it lends its name and spirit to their performances as a duo or with occasional and regular collaborators.
