In this episode, The Limestone Sessions, Dan is joined by artist, sculptor, and community thinker Tim Barlow. Together they explore the use of limestone (and rocks in general), in music from around the world and throughout the ages.
Tim Barlow is a sculptor based in Paekākāriki who has a long history of public works and conversations around art and the community (his doctoral thesis was titled Caring deception; community art in the suburbs of Aotearoa). One of his most recent works explored the use of limestone, and was looking to find ways to bring this material back into community building. Check out this piece in the Otago Daily Times.
