In this episode Dan is joined by Ōhinehou Lyttelton-based violinist and composer, Anita Clark, who was up for her performance at Futuna Chapel.
Anita and Dan listen to, and discuss, her music spanning from her first solo foray through to her latest collaboration in the world of dance, and finishing with some music they've made together as The Perms.
Anita performs under the name MOTTE. Riding the thin line between beauty and devastation, Motte weaves together a richly textured world with a violin, delay pedal, sampled sound and voice. Creating a world solely her own, the sound is modern classical, ambient, alt/experimental pop and improvised noise. Motte has released two albums since 2015; 'Songs For Movies' and 'Strange Dreams', with a third to be released next year. Alongside performing she composes for film, theatre and dance.
