Techno Echo is a monthly event for Femme & Non-binary music creators to share knowledge around sound & light technology. Featuring special micro performances and demonstrations by local artists/musicians followed by time for kōrero and connection.

Techno Echo occurs every 1st Monday of the month 7-9pm

This month’s special guest Te Kahureremoa shares about her artistic practice, unique instrumentation, and creation process.

Te Kahureremoa (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) is a multi-dimensional artist, writer, singer, composer, storyteller and taonga pūoro practitioner based in Te Whanganui-ā-Tara. Her music is inspired by her māoritanga, motherhood and her ordinary extraordinary life.

Her vibe is both ancient and futuristic and her mission in music and performance is to feed her people and boost the mauri. Her debut album ‘Acts of Service’ is streaming on all platforms.

This is an all ages, inclusive event for women and gender minorities to learn and share about audio and visual practices and technology in a supportive and casual environment. We are offering space to nurture friendship and collaboration within our community through celebratory exploration of creative tools.
