TAPE NIGHT featuring: Donna van Talgon, George D Angus, Indigogue Browne

A night of analogue tape misadventures and manipulations.

Donna van Talgon (aka. Izzy Fyfe/youbeepastablaster) is a musician and sound maker from Ōtepoti/Dunedin who uses multi-speed cassette tape transcription machines to warp found cassettes and home recordings. Matt Middleton of Crude fame describes their music as a "Watersian descent into the mind of madness, chronozone. Utter postmodernism, samples from multifarious eras and ethnicities and qualities gratuitously reworked on-a-whim, a mixture of pure noise and cuts of electronic, a juggernaut, a plunderphonic ride into irregularity, dissonance, discord, deconstruction, re-absorption, loops."

-

George D Angus (aka. Daniel Beban) is a BBC trained tape operator who has several decades of experience in coaxing absurdist sound collages out of reel-to-reel tape machines, including three releases of tape music on Thrill Jockey with Alexander Tucker as Imbogodom.

-

Indigogue Browne is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker producing chaotic semi-improvised sparkly harsh noise-pop and omnichord meanderings.
