Body

For two nights Pyramid Club plays host to Snails Artist Run Space from Te Papa-i-Oea / Palmerston North. Featuring Palmy acts closely associated with Snails and collaborations between Snails and P-Club artists.

Snails Artist Run Space has been operating as a collective of artists using a common space since December 2014. Snails holds gigs, workshops, openings, readings, art installations, performances, art exhibitions as well as providing private studio spaces in the historic Cosmopolitan Club Building on the corner of Taonui and Cuba Streets in Palmerston North. The Taonui Tinyclub downstairs hosts regular dance nights. https://snails.nz/

Night 1 features three Snails acts: Sects in the City, Synthetic Children and Pom Pom:

Synthetic Children
A hardware electronic project of C Goacher featuring synth and drum machine explorations of UK dubstep, post-jungle, and techno, with warping basslines reminiscent of nights at Taonui Tinyclub, and intense atmospherics building a queer and dynamic universe inspired by SOPHIE. https://syntheticchildren.bandcamp.com/album/oneirism

Sects in the City
SITC (Fi Carr and Hayden Sinclair) are an allusive interactive dance cult from two anxious eggs a la Te Papaioea noises.

Pom Pom
The swirling sonic guitars and drums of Kirsty Porter, Sarah Bingle and Fi Carr swim around the rocks and estuaries of improvised sound, washing up on the shores of faraway places. Hearts beat, beat, beat in a breathy trance only broken by the sheer joy of being alive. https://pompom1.bandcamp.com/track/black-blizzard
