Pyramid Club is happy to present Amy Jean/Cory Champion (duo) + Omit, live in the expansive acoustics of the Wellington Airport pedestrian tunnel

Amy Jean Barnett  is a composer and artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. With a background in the visual arts, Amy has presented sound and music commissions for Adam Art Gallery, Audio Arts Aotearoa, Works for Loudspeakers, and was the 2019/2020 Sound Artist in Residence at Toi Pōneke Arts Centre. Amy holds a Master of Fine Arts from Bauhaus Universität, Germany. Through her sonic investigations, Amy has established a practice that considers notions of observation and perception that questions our physiological relationship toward environments beyond our perceivable lifeworlds.

Cory Champion is a multi-faceted musician. As a drummer and percussionist he's worked with dozens of groups including Electric Wire Hustle and his own group Clear Path Ensemble. He performs and records electronic music under Borrowed CS. He was Toi Pōneke Sound Artists in residence in 2018, creating a multi-layered cymbal installation Time/Tone. He is very active as an improvisor and collaborator, performing regularly with Lucien Johnson, Devils Gate Outfit and many others.

Omit is the underground, home-made electronics and ambient music icon and artist Clinton Williams. Clinton has been crafting sublimely bleak and dark soundscapes from the small town of Blenheim in the South Island since the 1980's. Notoriously hermetic his first live shows didn't happen until the early 2000's. He has never performed outside of New Zealand.

LOCATION: Wellington Airport pedestrian tunnel, Coutts Street, Kilbirnie.

Many thanks to Creative NZ for supporting Pyramid Club's programme.
