Dancing in your head: episode 30 - Gemma Thompson

In this episode Dan is joined by multidisciplinary artist Gemma Thompson. They play music from her many collaborations, and solo efforts. They talk about noise, graphic scores, and interpretation amongst many other things.

Gemma Thompson works with drawing, print and sound to create works embedded in the sonic experience of time and place. With mark making of rich texture, she creates maps and artifacts of sound walks, architecture, movement, and the essence of a present  spontaneity. As a guitarist she explores noise, gesture, and the memory of listening. A keen collaborator, improviser, and graphic score composer, she has an intriguing catalogue worth exploring.
