Jeff Henderson is a force of music, known for his emotionally and sonically powerful saxophone playing. He is also one of the most important contributors, organisers, thinkers, and do-ers of Aotearoa's experimental, improvised, and uncompromising music scenes. Currently running the Auckland based Audio-Foundation he started wearing his venue and festival running hat in Pōneke in the late 90's when he founded The Space in Newtown. Pyramid Club whakapapas to The Space and Jeff is deeply embedded in what we do now.
The number of groups that Jeff has started and joined is countless. His archival recordings are huge (he has already offloaded a huge repository to the National Library), and he currently releasing albums on an almost weekly basis.
