Anna Fält - Workshop: Nordic Folk Songs

Anna Fält (Finland/Sweden) has a degree in pop/jazz singing (2006), folk music education (2011) and a master in Nordic folk music (2017). She´s been studying in renowned universities such as The Royal Music Academy in Stockholm and Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.

Anna´s been teaching private lessons since 2008 both in person and online. After graduating as a folk singing teacher 2011, her educational work consists mostly of workshops and courses introducing Finnish singing traditions for non-Finnish people. All material is taught by ear and consists of simple melodies with lots of possibilities for variation - everyone can join, no matter the background! The emphasis is always in Enjoying singing & sounding together.

Anna´s specialities are singing traditions from Finland and Sweden, combining the bright Scandinavian and dark East-European tones. She is passionate about the human voice and is known for her innovative ways to use voice as an versatile instrument. She´s been teaching workshops at various universities and music schools around the world.
